AerialEdCo is a Social Enterprise set up to provide affordable access to the aerial arts for aspiring performing arts students at Edinburgh College. The company also provide many public recreational eveing classes. AerialEdCo is a partnership between experienced aerial instructor James Tindell and Edinburgh College, operating since 2016. The classes are open to the public and do not operate via the college enrolment.

We believe that Aerial classes are for everyone, whether you want to get fit, try something new, develop a new interesting skill, or join a social community, aerial is a great place to start.

Our teaching focusses on developing the techniques needed to progress, and gain a sense of achievement from your new hobby. You don’t need to be strong to start, there is a very broad range of beginner level skills that allow you to progress at your own pace. Its much more accessible than you think!

At higher levels we work on sequence based skills while deepening students knowledge and understanding of how to perform skills, but also why it works.

“Aerial classes are a great way to get fit while having fun. James is an awesome teacher, highly skilled in teaching silks (both technique and choreography) and is also very supportive to his students - providing instruction that is tailored to your individual strengths and also motivation to work on the things you find challenging. The space is bright and airy, a lovely place to train, and the student to kit ratio is great meaning you never have to wait long for your turn. The other students are friendly and supportive too. Would highly recommend.”
